Fatherhood.

Together with ZOZIJWIJ! four photographers, including myself, worked on a project to highlight the beauty, versatility and diversity of Amsterdam South East (De Bijlmer). The first theme I thought about was Fatherhood! We hear many amazing stories about motherhood but what about the fathers? Studies show that the emotional bond with and warmth of a father is much more important to the social development of a child than perceiving their dad as a ‘man’s man. That’s why I decided to capture the precious relationship between fathers and their child living in Amsterdam South East. Inspired by my own relationship with my father.
